About Me
For whatever we lose
(like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea

In need of a creative outlet alongside high tempo employment, Cait Rebecca Art was formed in 2024. I experimented with all manner of mediums; from clay to mosaic, before finding that elusive flow state in abstract painting.
Painting has offered the creativity and playful expression I had been lacking, to the detriment of my health and well-being, in my day job. A free and curious approach, along with a lifelong love of the Cornish coast, characterises my artwork.
I believe that no matter the problem, a trip to the coast is the best solution, and if that's not possible then taking in ocean themed artwork is the next best thing! This is why I try my best to capture the emotional experience of the seaside in my artwork; the connection to nature, the awe inspiring vastness of the ocean, the clarity gained whilst watching the waves roll in, the power in a storm out at sea.
When not painting, I can be found out walking or running in the Wiltshire countryside. I cannot express the love I have for the British landscape - either coastal or rural - and delight in staying as connected to our natural spaces as humanly possible.
If you would like to see my work in person and get to know me as an artist, please follow along on socials or via the mailing list for information on upcoming shows and art fairs. Otherwise keep an eye out for a paint splattered woman with a very large, spaniel-on-stilts looking dog ... it will probably be me!
